Miracles are wonderful to behold, and we have had one, both for ourselves and for our family and Mission members. After April 1st, Lord is moving our Mission to an active little town with many believers in Christ and churches to prove it. Our Orthodox Presents television program airs in Central Coast of California from Paso Robles to Santa Maria, and points in between on the cable channels of Charter and Comcast.
Our Mission family will travel a little further each Sunday, but are happy to be in an English-speaking Orthodox Church. God will provide new members from this believing community with many pentecostals. Our family is very pleased to have us near to one another to help with baby grandson. Our tax business - like St. Paul's tentmaking - helps keep our Mission going, and this move allows us to expand to a new community.
God is preparing us, like the Apostles, to be "shot forth from the Bow of Christ into the nations" as our hymns tell us, and we wait for His further and more specific direction for us. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they SHALL be filled" - with future imperative used in His Word, what do we have to fear?

"Jerusalem, Jerusalem How I would have gathered you under My wings.."
We're hanging up our harps - our Jerusalem is under seige. Only the Lord our God is able to rescue us from sinful ways. We pray for repentance for all and for the renewal of the Holy Spirit. In all situations, we "trust not in princes, nor in the sons of men in whom there is no salvation". Our hope is in the Lord our God for " Your inheritance is with Me" as He has so clearly spoken to us. The Lord Jesus Christ has never forsaken us, in spite of our sins, and has guided us and His Holy Mission through the prayer of the all-holy Theotokos. We pray for her continued protection as we, "having done all" stand in the shelter of His wings.

Orthodox Christian Readers
Welcome to our Blog for Orthodox Christians. Our Orthodox Christian Mission worships at our Home Chapel, Los Osos California; we welcome all visitors to our Ancient Faith, presented always in the English language.
At Coffee at Embassy Suites on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm, we gather to discuss all aspects of our Faith, especially those which underlie the services. Divine Liturgy is the topic for the next several weeks. Next Tuesday, (June 24th) Father James, our priest, will give the prayers for each garment as he vests for the Divine Liturgy. These prayers provide the vital link with our Old Testament prophets and kings, as the priests vested for their service at the Temple of the Lord God of Israel. As Orthodox Christians (Romans chapters 9-11) we realize that believers are grafted onto the "Root" of Old Israel, becoming "New" Israel with the anointing of Messiah in our baptism unto His Death and Resurrection.
We live now a Life after Death, having died to this earthly world and its kingdom of darkness, and living in the Light of His Glory partaking daily in the energies of the Holy Spirit which gives Life and Incorruption to our corruptible nature.
We look forward to talking online to any Spirit-filled believers in Christ, who may be, like we were, searching for the Church of the Lord which exists from Pentecost until now. That Church, His Body on earth and in the heavenlies, is called "Orthodox" (Right-believing) since the First Council of Nicea to distinguish true believers in Christ from heretics who had created their own understanding of Christ as not equal with the Father.
Praying blessings of our Saviour Jesus Christ on all readers,
Irene
